The Northwest Regional Development Agency, as the Management Authority for the Northwest Regional Program 2021-2027 (NORTH-VEST REGION), publishes today, March 15, 2024, Applicant's Guide 712 \u2013 Improving tourism infrastructure, especially in areas with valuable tourism potential, including improving access to resources and tourist attractions \u2013 URBAN.

The call for projects is\u00a0competitive,<\/strong>\u00a0with submission deadline<\/strong>, and funding applications can be submitted through the MySMIS 2021 computer system during:\u00a0 April 29, 2024, 10:00 a.m. \u2013 August 29, 2024, 10:00 a.m.<\/strong><\/p>\n

For funding applications that fall under the scope of state aid, the maximum value of the total non-reimbursable amount is 2,000,000 euros.<\/strong><\/p>\n

For financing applications that do not fall under the scope of state aid, the maximum total eligible value is 6,000,000 euros.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Eligible applicants <\/strong>are Administrative-territorial units (UAT): <\/strong>County; County seat municipality; Municipality; Town; <\/strong>Partnerships between the previously mentioned eligible administrative-territorial units.<\/p>\n

Urban areas in the region benefit from numerous natural or anthropogenic elements with special attractive value. A number of touristic and cultural resources have high potential to be (better) exploited, but remain in the shadows due to access difficulties (missing or not modernized) and the lack of minimal facilities that allow them to be visited in optimal conditions. Despite the high potential, tourist activity is concentrated in a few centers, the rest of the objectives remaining largely untapped.<\/p>\n

The public tourism infrastructure is still precarious, despite the investments made in previous programming periods, requiring a series of measures to improve the current situation.<\/p>\n
